Finally ... Key Fobs!

Finally! I got around to making some mini key fobs for my Etsy store! Aren't they cute?! I have four in the shop at the moment and will be posting more in the shop later this week with some different fabrics and also some in the wristlet length. Want one of these cuties? Just leave a comment telling me what kind of color combination(s) YOU would like to see. (I have a ton of fabrics to choose from!) I will choose a winner at random on Friday 4/3/09 who will receive the key fob combo of their choice!

Kristina's Color Inspiration Challenge #47

Made it through another Monday! :-) It wasn't too bad - the weather was really nice today and the tulips are getting ready to bloom! I can't wait!

I finally had enough time to get to Kristina's Color Inspiration challenge - down to the wire here to submit it for the round up! This card is full of supplies from different companies, but I like the end result. I added to polka dots at the last second and I think it helps to make the white card base not quite so stark. I like it. Hope you do too!My blog anniversary is on Tuesday! Be on the lookout for some blog candy! :-)

Supplies Used:
Card stock: PTI White, Bazzil (yellow from an assorted pack), SU! Tangerine Tango
Ink: PTI Dark Chocolate
Stamps: Sentiment from PTI Everyday Classics, Botanical from Unity March KOTM, PTI Polka Dot Basics
Ribbon: SU! Chocolate Chip
Tools/Supplies: Scor-Pal, paper trimmer, Scor-Tape

Easter Card & Thanks

Happy Monday! It's back to work. I can't wait for the summer when Mondays won't even really feel like Mondays! haha

I tried to get caught up on my monthly swap between appliqueing letters on t-shirts this weekend. Here's a cute little card for one of my groups:
I have no idea what supplies I used since many were provided (paper and images), but I do know that I used PTI Lavender Moon card stock, Copic markers, oval Nestabilities, Scor-Tape, and American Crafts ribbon. I really love the colors that this paper had me working with - so Easter-y!

On a different note, I am fast approaching 5,000 hits! Holy cannoli! When I started this blog about a year ago I really didn't think anyone would read it except maybe my mom and a few loyal friends. There will be some blog candy coming up soon to celebrate my 1 year blog-aversary and all y'all actually checking in and commenting on the stuff I have been making out of paper and fabric! A big thank you to all of you who have been visiting and leaving such nice comments!

Have a great day everyone! :-)

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge # 2

Hello everyone! If you are here for the Unity Blog Hop, scroll down to the previous post. :-)
Dawn gave us another color challenge - love these colors. So fab! They remind me of a quilt that I made for a friend to give as a baby gift. She had said "it is for a girl, but they don't want any pink" and I remember thinking "are you joking!? Have you seen all the pink fabrics I have!?" haha Anyway. I did succeed in making a a quilt for just the occasion. On to my card ...
I decided to make a little fabric flower with some of the leftovers from the aforementioned quilt. Cute! I will definitely be making more of them. I actually made a few extra - they are in my etsy shop if you have to have some too! :-) Here's a closer view of the flower and sentiment:

March PTI Blog Hop

It's PTI Blog Hop Time! Welcome to my blog and thanks for visiting to check out my card! (This is my second post today, so be sure to scroll down! :-)

This month's challenge was to create your own background using a PTI stamp set. Well, to be honest, this is not really a big challenge for me since I do this all the time! (In fact, I think almost everything I have posted in the past week has had some kind of stamped background!) Anyway, I love doing this - it really allows you to make your project exactly how you want it.

To be honest, this card kind of came from leftovers. I still had remnants from Dawn's color challenge laying on my desk and let's be honest - that color combo is pretty much amazing. So, I decided to go with a similar color palette.

I stamped the Damask pattern in New Canvas ink onto Summer Sunrise. I love this soft effect from the New Canvas. I added a leftover strip of Raspberry Fizz on the side. Then I took a scrap of white and stamped a background in Summer Sunrise ink using one of the Life flowers. Then I stamped in the sentiment (also from Life) with Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Fizz inks. That got trimmed and mounted on another scrap - this time Dark Chocolate. I also added a little sparkle to the flowers using a Sakura glitter pen. All this got put on a Kraft card base (4.25" square - my current favorite size). The sentiment is mounted on foam pop dots. And the ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. (For some god forsaken reason I didn't order the PTI Dark Chocolate swiss dot ribbon! That or I just can't find it!) Anyway, here's a closer view. Hope you like my card! Check out my previous posts from this week to see some other favorite backgrounds I have created - this is one of my favorites.

Thanks for visiting! :-)

Supplies Used (all from Papertrey Ink unless noted):
Card stock: Kraft, Summer Sunrise, Raspberry Fizz, Dark Chocolate, stampers select White
Stamps: Damask Designs, Life
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise, Raspberry Fizz, Palette New Canvas
Ribbon: Polka dot grosgrain from Taylored Expressions
Other: Pop dots, Scor-Pal, paper trimmer, sticky tape from TE, Sakura Jelly Roll glitter pen

Welcome Spring!

Happy Wednesday! We're half way to the weekend! :-) LOL If you've been following my blog at all, you know that I have been into making these accordion tag banners. I think they are just precious. My husband just rolls his eyes when I put them on the mantle! Anyway, I needed a new one since my "XOXO" one from Valentine's Day is a just a wee bit outdated. So, here's my newest banner - "SPRING"!
I used some of the Bitty dots patterned paper for the background for my tags. I love that paper! All the parts to this are from PTI except the letters, which are from a DCWV embellishment box I got before Christmas and some DMC floss on thos buttons. Here's a couple of closer views at the fab little letters. I did do some stamping ... all those little yellow flower centers were stamped with an image from the Life set. Way cute! I see some cards coming on with some of these color schemes.

Well, that is all for now. The PTI blog hop is tonight ... my post will go live shortly after 5 PM. This month's challenge was all about creating your own background. Well, I do that in just about every project! What an easy challenge for me! :-)

Supplies Used (all from Papertrey Ink, unless noted):

Flower Power

So the other day I fell in love with the rumpled flowers here on Dawn's blog. I knew I just had to try this out! Here's my version. I love these bright fun colors! These flowers are pretty easy to make ... stamp on some scraps and then free hand cut, squish them up to distress and viola! I think I need to get some flower dies - my freehand cutting made some pretty wonky flowers! LOL Dies or not, I will definitely be making more of these cutie cards!

Have a great day everyone!

Card stock: Stampers select white, Hibiscus Burst, Aqua Mist, Raspberry Fizz

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #1

OMG! Dawn just started a Color Challenge! Sweet! She picked a super fab quilt as inspiration for her first color challenge. Here's a link to her challenge.

I had bought some Marcella K flower stickers at Target awhile ago. Months ago. And I have been hoarding them. (Yes, I hoard craft supplies. Shocker, I know.) When I saw the color inspiration photo, I knew they would be perfect! I decided to base my card layout on this card by Betsy Veldman. And here's what I came up with ...And here's a closer view of the sentiment and flower sticker.
Thanks for checking out my creation! Have a great weekend!

Supplies:
Card stock: PTI Lemon Tart, Raspberry Fizz, Stampers Select White, Summer Sunrise
Stamps: PTI Damask Designs
Ink: PTI Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise

Friends for Life

Happy Saturday people! I finally got a chance to play with the new Guidelines II set and I think I love it more than the first. :-) Here's my first card with it ...
I had a Lemon Tart card base already made so I decided to free form a pattern with some Palette New Canvas ink - which is like a white but not overly intense. So, it creates a soft pattern. Love it! I then went back and added some Martha Stewart white pearl stickers to the centers of each stamped emblem. I made the tag with a circle punch and used the Life set to stamp the sentiment. Added some Hibiscus Burst grosgrain and a little hemp twine and viola! I really like how pretty it is in person (better than the photo) while still being a really simple card. Here's a closer shot of the tag.Well, that is about it for now. Back to sewing letter shirts - appropriate for this card's sentiment ... My sorority sisters and I are friends for life! :-)

Supplies Used (all by Papertrey Ink unless noted):
Card stock: Lemon Tart, Stampers Select White
Ink: Hibiscus Burst, New Canvas
Stamps: Guidelines II, Life
Ribbon: Hibiscus Burst grosgrain
Other: MS pearl stickers, hemp twine

CPS107

Here's my version of the CPS 107 sketch. I really like the color scheme, but I think something is missing or the sentiment panel is too plain. I don't know! I guess I shouldn't stamp when I am really tired! LOL
Anyway, I used a new Plain Jane scripture stamp from Verve. Her stamps are lovely and they stamp great! I love the fonts she uses for the accentuated words.

Supplies Used:
Card stock: PTI Stampers Select White, Raspberry Fizz
Ink: PTI Raspberry Fizz, Summer Sunrise, Hibiscus Burst, New Canvas
Stamps: PTI Guidelines II, Verve Ps. 51:10
Ribbon: PTI Raspberry Fizz swiss dot satin

TGIF and a mini card

Happy Friday! This week was a killer ... I am so glad to be maxing and relaxing. LOL Maybe I can play with some stamps now that I got some of those shirts done! :-)

Here's a little mini card (3-1/2" square) that I made. I created the floral paper with a stamp from Garden of Life and then added some rhinestones, a bit of ribbon and a sentiment popped up on foam tape. Cutie patootie!

Off to play around before dinner with the mister! Have a great weekend everyone!

Supplies Used (all from Papertrey Ink):
Card stock: Vintage Cream, Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, Dark Chocolate
Stamps: Garden of Life
Ribbon: Berry Sorbet luxe satin
Ink: Berry Sorbet, Dark Chocolate
Other: Rhinestones from Martha Stewart, foam tape

One Sweet RAK

Happy almost Friday everyone! I have been slaving away at the sewing machine making t-shirts all week to meet some initiations deadlines. Work has been especially busy too, so its been one wild week!

I did get a be-a-u-tiful RAK (random act of kindness) from my secret sister in the PTI swap on SCS. Isn't this just so pretty! I love the colors and it really is even nicer to look at in person! Thanks secret sister! :-)
Ok - back to finish some more shirts so that I can get to some stamping! :-)

Kristina's Color Inspiration #45

Happy Friday y'all! I am soooo glad it is Friday - this has been a really long week between paperwork, lesson plans, booking flights for our trip to California, and a job fair! Whew! I finally got to make a card!

I love Black and White. I especially love it with color. But good ole Kristina said no to the color this week with her Color Inspiration Challenge. She asked us to use black, white, and grey. So, here's my card ...
What do you think? I think its super cute ... I think it be even cuter in pink and green! LOL Anyway ... The paper is from a little paper pack from Target by Making Memories. The rest is all just plain ole card stock. See the list below for the details.

Card stock: PTI True Black, SU! Basic Grey

Sweet Surprise

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend - sorry I have been MIA all week. Its been busy with work and I took 38 of my students to a state level DECA competition this weekend. They did really well so I will be headed to California with a few of them for the international level next month!

My sweet husband surprised me with these flowers on the table when I got home! What a great guy! :-)

CPS 105 Sketch

Happy Monday! It is definitely happy here - we got a snow day today! haha Too bad that means we have one less day of Spring Break. Oh well. I have been fighting a cold all weekend, so its nice to have one last day to lounge and rest before going back to work. On to my card ...
I have really been enjoying the CPS sketch challenges each week. This week's sketch is really fun. I like the layout a lot and plan to use it again. Unfortunately, I had a terrible time with getting this together - mainly involving the sentiment. I finally just settled for how this one came out and then colored it. (Note this was after I stuck my original down w/ foam tape before adding the sentiment. I risked it - trying to add the sentiment anyway ... um, yeah ... that didn't work - so I ripped it off and had to start over.) Anyway, this is what I came up with. :-)

Off to work on cleaning off my desk and finishing some shirt orders so I can pop them in the mail. Hope everyone has a great week!

Supplies Used (all Papertrey unless otherwise noted):
Card stock: Sweet Blush, Melon Berry
DP: Bella Rose from SU!
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Copics (R11, R22)
Stamps: Friends Til the End
Ribbon: Melon Berry twill
Button: Melon Berry vintage button
Other: hemp twine

More fun with Damask Designs

Here's another card I made the the new Damask Designs set from PTI. I really love this big damask image - its so fun to create my own patterned paper with it. I stamped the image on SU! Bashful Blue in PTI New Leaf green ink. Then I added the sentiment (also from Damask Designs) and a little ribbon. Easy peasy.
We're waiting to see if we'll get snow here - its been raining all day long - hard rain. But its supposed to change to snow overnight. So, we'll see what happens with the roads and school tomorrow. I am secretly hoping for a delay since I am fitting a bad cold. It would be nice to get to sleep past 5:30! :-)

Until next time!
