Hiya! Dawn gave us another great Color Challenge this week. I will admit that I had a little bit of trouble combining these colors - mostly working in the purple. But, I am happy with the end result. Here's my card ....I started by stamping the large damask image from Damask Designs in Raspberry Fizz ink - I did roll the edges of the image in Scarlet Jewel ink before stamping it onto the Vintage Cream paper. I then overstamped that damask image with the text stamp in Plum Pudding ink.
If you look closely, the Scarlet Jewel panel and the card were stamped with a flourish from Fancy Flourishes in Versamark ink. I wanted it to be subtle to help give the card some more interest - Versamark is a great way to do this. Finally, I added a sentiment in Raspberry Fizz ink and used Chamomile ink on the card base and the image panel to give it a more vintage-y feel.
I am in love with the ribbon stitching lately ... in case you hadn't noticed! My buddy Banu from SCS asked me how I was doing this, so I made a tutorial that you can check out here.
Thanks for stopping by!
