Happy Birthday to PTI #1

Hiya! Get ready to a LOT of posts here ... there's going to be 7 in a row and this is number one. So, if you find this one first, hit refresh on your browser to see what else I've made today. :)

First off, Praise the Lord for the snow! Without which, we would not have had a snow day and I may not have gotten to have soooo much fun in my craft room today! hehe (I did go in for a few hours and get some copies, etc made though.) Anywho ...

Papertrey is celebrating its 3rd anniversary and today's challenge was to create a card with each of the 9 stamp designer's special birthday images. So, this morning I started downloading and planning cards in my mind so when I got back from work I could get started.

Here's my first card for the challenge...This card uses a special image from Niki Estes. She is joining the world of stamp designing this year and I can't wait to see what she's got up her sleeve. Check out her card and get her graphic here.

I started with an Aqua Mist card base, added a strip of Berry Sorbet Bitty Box paper and then covered the seam with some seam binding. I punched the gift image and tied it around the bow. The sentiment is from Faux Ribbon - love the versatile sentiments in that set! (Sorry for the wet fray check on my ribbon ends ... I was hustling to get all my cards done before the sun went down! LOL)

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my cards. I love reading your comments!

Supplies Used (all PTI unless noted):
Stamps: Image from Niki Estes; sentiment - Faux Ribbon
Ink: Palette Noir Black
Paper: Aqua Mist, White, Berry Sorbet; Bitty Box DSP - Berry Sorbet
Other: Berry Sorbet button; twine; Wrights seam binding

  1. Great card, the colours match perfectly! Clever idea to take the text off the circle ... I never work with round text images so it was fun to try something new.
